From the Elder's Pen SATAN IS A DECEIVER OF MEN Past/Future Articles

 

One of the devices of Satan is that of deceit.  Never does he miss an opportunity to lead man away from God by using deceitful methods.  The Bible is explicit in naming several ways in which a man can be deceived.  Some of them are:

A man is DECEIVED if he is a hearer and not a doer of the word (Jam. 1:22).
A man is DECEIVED if he says that he has no sin (1 Jn. 1:8).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks himself to be something when he is nothing (Gal. 6:3).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks himself to be wise with worldly wisdom (1 Cor. 3:18).
A man is DECEIVED when he seems to be religious and does not bridle his tongue (Jam. 1:26).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks he will not reap what he sows (Gal. 6:7).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks evil company will not corrupt good morals (1 Cor. 15:33).
A man is DECEIVED when he thinks that the unrighteous will inherit the kingdom of God (go to heaven) (1 Cor. 6:9).

It is easy to be deceived.  It gives man a comfortable feeling that everything is well with God, when in reality nothing could be further from the truth.  Deceit of Eve by the serpent led to man’s first sin.  “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour…” (I Pet. 5:8).

You can be DECEIVED by Satan by ignoring the scriptures above.  Will You Let Him deceive you also??
