The world was created from God's pattern and God has given the pattern for his will to be carried out, even to ow man must follow his pattern in obedience to him. God told Noah the pattern to build the ark. Noah was surely an intelligent person, but he would not have any idea to what size to builld the ark or the dimensions for such a large vessel to float. God also gave Moses the pattern for the tabernacle and all the instruments that went into it. God, through the Spirit, gave David the pattern for the temple. Then David passed it to his son Soloman who built it.
In hsi gospel plan of salvation, God has given us a pattern. Christ taught his apostles, and they taught the people the pattern of salvation. If we do not follow the pattern God set, we will miss our goal, which is heaven.
