FOCUS

Past/Future Articles

Webster defines the word “focus” as the “center of activity, attention, most active, concentrate or to fix on one object.”  We must keep focused on the whole Bible.  We need to keep focused on our love for one another.  The words spoken by Jesus in John 3:16 are said to be “the Golden text of the Bible.”  It reads:  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Read I John 4:10,11,12. The Lord commanded that his disciples have the love for one another that he has for us, John 13:34.  Love is kind (I Cor. 13:4).  Love will build up and edify (I Cor. 8:1).

We must keep focused on the lost.  Christ came to “seek and save that which was lost and shine as lights in the world (Phil. 2:15).  We must keep a clear image of our responsibility as Christians and do our part to save the lost.    It seems to me, we need a great deal more focus on the Bible.  May we each remember that every member must be involved and supply what they can for the successful growth of the Church.

In order for the will of God to be carried out we must be extremely focused on both defending and extending the Gospel.  A lock of balance in either direction will cause us to fall short of the mission our Lord gave us to fulfill.  We must stay focused on the Bible at all times.

Let each of us think on these things and do and be all that our God would have us to do and be.  STAY FOCUSED!!
